CRASKEN FARM VENUE HIRE TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Although at Crasken we are no fans of rules and regulations, we need to set out a few boundaries for the safety & enjoyment of everyone staying or holding an event at Crasken. Therefore we would like to draw your attention to the following:
Use of the long barn and ‘L’ shape barn.
PA system and mixing desk.
Use of 6 eco flush toilets, and 4 solar showers.
The Camping field, BBQ and Fire pit
Front and rear courtyards
Bar & Bar staff on the day of your event
Skeleton crew to keep toilets fresh
Pre and Post event cleaning & recycling
Additional staff can be hired at £7.50 per hour
A Wedding co-ordinator can be arranged at a cost of £200.
WEEKEND bookings commence Friday at midday and vacate on Sunday at 3pm.
MIDWEEK bookings commence Tuesday at midday and vacate Thursday at 3pm.
ADDITIONAL COSTS TO BE AWARE OF
We do not supply table linen. Tables, chairs, crockery and cutlery, can be hired from a local and reliable contact. Tipis will be erected and simply furnished with a wooden floor, beds & solar lighting. We do supply bedding or towels upon request for a £10 fee.
We love music here at Crasken, and want you to enjoy the music of your celebration too. Any outdoor music (especially Drumming) however must cease at 10pm. We encourage you to enjoy your music in the Barn where you are welcome to celebrate until midnight when our PA system will be turned down. The barn is a great venue for all kinds of music and loves to be danced in.
Noise issues are important to us and you must adhere to them if you want your deposit back!
Our meadow camping area is situated close to the farmhouse and our community field. The camping pitches are therefore in a ‘quiet area’, as we often have guests with young children and neighbours who work at Crasken. Our ‘quiet hours’ are between 10pm – 8am, and we ask you to be respectful of this.
DRINK & DRUGS
We can offer a bar at Crasken and are happy to source local ales and other drinks for your celebration.
Our bar staff will refuse to serve any persons them consider to be under 18. There is also a challenge 21 policy,
We advise you to inform the relevant guests that ID will be required. In the interest of safety we have a zero tolerance to drug abuse, and anyone found to be taking illegal substances will be escorted from the premises.
We require a deposit of £1,000 per event. We want our guests to really relax and enjoy their stay at Crasken, and your cautionary deposit will be returned to you upon your vacation of Crasken in accordance with these terms and conditions of booking. Any additional cleaning, breakages, damage or noise abuse over and above the norm will be charged extra.
NOTE IN THE EVENT OF CANCELLATION THIS DEPOSIT IS NON REFUNDABLE.
Final payment is due ONE MONTH before your celebration. We also require final numbers of guests and any additional costs such as Tipi hire. Crasken is a lovely home to us and our children, and we enjoy sharing her. It’s necessary for us to lay down these terms of what we expect from you and your guests and vice versa. We hope you understand, and wish you the Happiest of `Celebrations.
